Mannin Regulatory

Dr Jill Bunyan is an independent consultant and pharmaceutical specialist based in the Isle of Man. During her first-class honours degree she won the James Taylor prize for pharmaceutical chemistry, and she has steadily been building on the awards since then.

After a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Strathclyde, she logged over 17 years’ professional experience in her field. Regulatory CMC manager Joanna Gunston of AstraZeneca commends her as “consistently accurate and extremely knowledgeable”.

Previously a regulatory affairs manager at Medis and general manager at SEQ, she set up independently in 2009 as a regulatory affairs consultant. She is now the founding managing director of Mannin Regulatory, in addition to working as an associate of Alacrita, a transatlantic life science consulting firm serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life science sectors.

Mannin Regulatory specialises in providing both strategic and practical support in regulatory affairs. Current projects are focussed on pharmaceuticals, medical devices and cosmetics. The broad range of support offered includes strategic planning, medical writing, clinical evaluation reports for medical devices, cosmetics safety assessments, pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, preparation of dossiers in CTD (Common Technical Document), NeeS (Non-eCTD electronic submissions) and eCTD formats, and general management.

A member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, Dr Bunyan takes an integrated and “one-stop shop” approach to her clients’ needs, by offering the option of integrating any of these services with staff training and development.

She has recently contributed her expertise to a range of publications, including industry textbooks ‘Fundamentals of EU Regulatory Affairs (2012)’ and ‘Supply Chain Management in the Drug Industry (2011)’, with chapters on Generic Medicinal Products and an Overview of EU Regulations. Her PhD was in ‘Solvent-induced modifications of the morphology and solid-state properties of Ibuprofen’.

Her client base is global and encompasses the EU, North America, Israel and Japan.
